For today’s “grow a seed” genuary prompt I fall on brand by doing another classic fractal, the Barnsley fern, and fading it out slightly to reveal how it’s drawn.

I have to confess, I knew this was a self similar pattern, but I didn’t realise how it was drawn effectively randomly - the wikipedia page for the Barnsley fern has a great explanation, but the approach blew my mind a little, as I’d assumed you’d recursively draw the stem and branches as lines.
