It’s been a hectic week so far, and looks like it should be next week too. Highest priority at the moment is getting my paper for OSDI'04 (thanks to Jonathan and Huw who proof read it last night). This will be ongoing for the next week until the deadline a week on Friday. The next thing I’ve taken on (as of yesterday) is helping out with a research project that’s running between Intel Research labs, the photonics department, and the computer lab. They needed someone that knew a bit about the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro and it’s gigabit ethernet stuff. I’m not sure of how much use I’ll be, but some of the research stuff looks like it could be intersting, so I’m willing to try and help out and see how it goes. Finally, there’s a two day
