I never properly appreciated classic macOS - I was too much an OS snob at the time and so I was blinded by the notion that it didn’t support proper memory management and multitasking. As I’ve aged and I now appreciate more the usability of a machine, I see how much we’ve lost the charm of some of classic macOS. There’s still a lot to find frustrating here, but it’s not all been positive progress since this was the mainstay of computing.

I’m running macOS here in SheepSaver, an emulator for old PowerPC macs.
