A photo of the PCI-express measurement setup I had at Intel Research. The poor PC on the right had the back cut out of it with tin-snips to let us fit probes. We were trying to take measurements of PCI-express traffic so we could reproduce similar loads on the experimental optical network you can just see off to the right. But alas, Intel closed the lab a month or so later.
