Virtual Bikes V Cars

9 Oct 2007

Scientist, gamer, car nut, and all round nice chap Jonathan Gitlin has posted a nice review of Project Gotham Racing 4 over on Ars Technica. I don’t have a games console, so it’s not of much consequence to me, but I was interested to note that it’s one of the few games that lets you race cars against motorbikes. Unfortunately, JonboyG has taken a rather narrow view on this opportunity:

“Although it’s fun to plow two-wheeled opponents off the road, they’re actually harder to mow down than you’d think.”

Tut tut Jonathan ;) Alas, the review is rather negative when it comes to PGR4 gameplay, so perhaps this isn’t the game to see whether Rossi or Schumacher would be better tearing around New York full blast. Still, the usual good review from JonboyG, who always makes me wish I had the chance to play some Forza Racing (the AI for which was done in Microsoft’s Cambridge Research lab) as he’s so enthused about it.
