I’m now the owner of a black 60 gig iPod (yay Intel staff discount at Apple Stores :). My iPod Mini is still going, but it’s battery was down to only 60 to 90 minutes of play back, and I wanted something that would last longer, and I also decided to get something that would let me have all my music, as temptingly wee as the iPod Nano is.

Anyway, took a good while to sync for the first time, but now I have all my music on my iPod. I’m also using the excellent Instant Handbrake to rip some DVDs to put on my iPod. Having spent about 25 hours in a plane in the last week I can definitely see the benefit of having some video to hand to make a change from reading (US trips usually result in me having read 3 to 4 books – I don’t plan on replacing books with video, but occasionally one wants a change :).
