The 365 so far in graph form
As mentioned before, when I observed others doing their 365, I only saw the result each day, not the effort. It looks such a daunting task if you think these amazingly talented people pick up their camera, take one shot, and they are done for the day. It’s actually a lot more effort than that, there’s a lot of photos that don’t make the cut.
Let me show you this in graph form…
(I was hoping to make that an interactive graph, but google’s embedding didn’t seem to play with my blog, alas)
The above graph shows how many photos I’ve taken each day since the start of the year. Only once have I taken just one photo and called it – and that was pure luck. On average I take just over 37 pics a day – though some of that will be special events/trips/etc. where I’ll take lots more anyway. That number doesn’t include the ones I deleted because they were out of focus etc. But it’s still fair to say I take around 30 pics a day on average when I’m just doing my 365.
If I were to do that graph for last year, there’d be a lot of empty days. Part of the motivation for doing the 365 was to make me take pictures again; so far it seems to have achieved that!
