Sandy trails

24 Mar 2007

Today we took the Uly out on a wee jaunt around Cambridgeshire to the Sandy RSPB Lodge on the Uly. It’s now done just over 100 miles, so I’m allowed 3000 rpm and 55 mph :)

All the luggage space comes in handy on trips like this – room to take backup jackets, shortbread, and somewhere to ditch the helmets whilst you wander about.

Of course, the big dilemma now is that the bike is getting dirty! :) I don’t want to become a true obsessive, but I do want to keep it nice and new, so I need to try and not polish it all night as the manual suggests (in the cleaning section you can tell Buell is an off shoot of Harley Davidson, as it implies you should spend every waking moment cleaning your alloys…).
