Propeller

15 Apr 2007

Last night Laura and I went to see Twelfth Night at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, as done by Propeller, an all male ensemble. They’ve currently doing a run of Twelfth Night and The Taming of the Shrew, the latter of which we saw up in Liverpool towards the end of last year, and I can heartily recommend both productions if you get chance to see them.

Both shows are done in my favoured style of theatre – light on the stage props with a blend of old and modern styling, letting the actors tell the story rather than worring about sets. The 12 manned group all deliver excellent performances in both shows, with a strong, dynamic delivery.

Alas their run is done in Cambridge, but you can still catch them otherwhere until June.
