I missed this first time around, but now I’ve read the book and am half way through the DVDs all in the last week, so I’m making up for it :) Basically it’s a recording of Ewan McGregor and Charley Borrman’s attempt to ride from London to New York the long way round (hey, that’d make a good title…) on motorbike. The book and DVD actualy kind of complement each other - the book gives a better insight into what they wen through personally, and the DVD gives you a view of the amazing landscapes they travelled through. Certainly the more interesting bits are Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Siberia, though their run in with what one can ony assume is a local mafia boss who insists on entertaining them is a highlight. Anyway, despite my initial hesitation, I really enjoyed this.
