Flame grilled Wired

On the way home yesterday I was so tired I broke my usual rule about not eating food from Burger King or McDonalds on the grounds it typically ends in me feeling off afterwards. But I was tired, and I was hungry, and a burger would have been just the thing, so I caved and duely felt nauseous afterwards. If you ever see me walking somewhat deludedly into one of these places in a couple of years time (which is the typical interval between the bursts of stupidity, sopt me by any means necessary).

Of course, similarly I bought Wired to read on the flight back from Miami. Wired is like BK or such - glossily presented, looking nice and tasty, but is actually deeply unfilling afterwards and makes you regret buying it. It’s full of the most shallow attempts at being counter-culture in order to look ahead of the curve. Just vapuous nonsense. I have no idea whether the UK edition for its short history was better or just that my values have changed, but Wired should probably go by its own moniker for things past their best: Tired.
