Just been to see the new Pixar film, The Incredibles, at an advanced screening here (it’s out next weekend on general release), and it’s an excellent film - possibly one of the best Pixar films yet, though I’ve only seen the two Toy Story films and A Bug’s Life. The film is very funny pastiche of 60s/70s comic book superheros and supervillans, but taken from the view of family life for a super hero family. The plot makes it probably not aimed at the very young like say Toy Story and Finding Nemo are, but I imagine teens up will certainly enjoy it. As every, the animation is excellent, particularly some of the effects like water and smoke. Top stuff. I’m tempted to go and see it again at the cinema, it’s just such a good film. Recommend you try and catch it!
