Carnage

With a couple of hours to spare, I decided to try and see if I could use OpenGL. It’s been a while since I tried any 3D programming, so for fun I tried to write a version of the old Nemesis test app Carnage, which flew a Krait ship from the old game Elite back and forth, using Cocoa and OpenGL. Here’s one of the work in progress shots:

That moves about, and I can have it render in solid form too, but then it’s hard to make out as it’s not shaded. Anyway, a good bit of fun. I’m tempted to get a book on the topic, though looking at Amazon most seem to be Windows based :(
