IRC is having an open doors day on Tuesday, where they will be demoing a bunch of the research going on up there, and people are invited to see what’s going on and chat about the research. These demos will include some of the networking stuff I’ve been working on with the other peeps on the team. We’ve got a demo of the optical switch switching as driven by some electronics, and two development boards sending data to each other over an optical link. It’s been quite good getting ready for this demo, as it’s given us motivation to start some of the integration work we need to do to get an actual network up and running in the next couple of months.
