QEMU out for Mac OS X

11 Jul 2004

I don’t have much need for ix86 linux, but there is that odd moment, and currently our ix86 box is used as a lampshade. But there isn’t enough need to make me buy Virtual PC. Well the amazing dudes at opendarwin.org have put up a port of QEMU for the mac, which is a free ix86 emulator. It runs quite well even on my iBook G3/600, albeit in console only mode. But often that’s enough. If you want a simple linux image to test with it, you can try here.
