Teaching kids useful stuff

2 Apr 2004

I reminising earlier today about the toy molecular modelling kits that you used to get a high school in chemistry, and how they’d mike a nice geek desk toy (make note all ;) - how better to waste a little contemplative time making a caffine or capsaicin molecule? Whilst they might be my drugs of choice (coffee and chilli for those that didn’t make the link), I was amused to note the designers aready had thought this one through, as their sales pitch to schools include the line: “Add 10 carbon atoms to build various street drugs” - ah, the innocence of science :)
