A couple of years ago the computer lab sold their old, dirty, broken Krupps filter coffee machine on e-bay for a little over three grand. Now that’s a mark-up for you. the reason they got such a price was because they used to have the thing on the web - the infamous cambridge coffee web cam, the first web cam no less. Anyway, they’ve just spent some of that money on a top end espresso machine, and I’ve just been demonstrated to on its use. There goes the neighbourhood…
