bags of bags

31 Dec 2003

Once I’m down in Camby, I’ll join just about everyone else in Cambridge in cycling to work (I have a theory that people only exist in Cambridge as a way of procreating bikes). But this meant I needed a way to carry my iBook about without it getting bashed about. I have a nice Animal courier type bag which I’ve used until now, but I don’t think that’ll make a good home for the laptop whilst I’m cycling.

Anyway, Turnip Boy provided me with a solution - Crumpler rucksacks! These things are the business. They’ve got a good padded and sturdy back panel, a secure pocket inside for your laptop (we’ve tested it with both a 12" iBook and a 15" PowerBook, and they both fit well), and lots of pockets for other stuff too. They’re not exactly cheap (I got mine discounted from the recommended price, and it was still 70 quid), but at least I can no worry about my laptop getting bashed about.
