Rendezvous Browser
Here’s a nice little utility that lets you browse rendezvous enabled services on your local network. Essentially it’s a really easy little thing to knock up yourself, but this one is done with a bit of polish.
One thing that’s a mystery to me at the moment is that some of the Macs we have here are advertising an IPv6 address over Rendezvous, and some are not. More annoying is that of the two I set up, one is and one isn’t, and I have no idea what I’ve done that’s different. A nice little curio though is that if you do connect to a Mac using its link local address and it is advertising an IPv6 address then when you ssh between them it’ll use IPv6 and not IPv4.
