Gah. I finally gave in trying to get the Triscend dev software to work on the XP box, and went back to the old Windows 2K box on which the software had been running before. It’s a downgrade, but it works, and I just wasn’t getting anywhere with teh FastChip software, and time was running out. Looks like I’m going to have to stick with old technology for now.

As a side effect of this, the web cam is down, as Puffin Cam seems to be XP only, and thus I’m back to not having any webcam software. I think 48 hours has to be one of the shortest uptimes for the webcam to date. Sorry about that.

Update: Actually, Puffin Cam does work on Win2k - but you need Direct X 9 installed. Many thanks to Ian (the author) for his help with sorting me out.
