Elvis Costello at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Went to see Elvis Costello play at the concert hall on Tuesday, and it was a really good gig. It was just the man himself, occasionally on guitar and occasionally just singing, with Steve Neive on piano. In total the set lasted for about two and a half hours and he must have played twenty plus songs. For a fwe songs he ditched the microphone and just sang alound, which demonstrates what a good voice he has, and for a couple of songs he got the audiance to join in in part, fun stuff. There were lots of songs off North, with a mixture of old hits thrown in to boot (only the track 45 from When I Was Cruel). Top stuff.
