The Cooper Temple Clause - Kick Up The Fire, And Let The Flames Break Loose
Obvious awards there for the longest album title of a while - The Cooper Temple Clause (the name of whom still puzzles) have a new album out. If you’re into TCTC, then there’s a special edition out with a DVD containing videos and live tracks.
The album is a more mellow affair than the last album, lacking the intensity of some of the songs, and it’s good but not, IMHO, excellent. Nothing really stands out; the single Promises Promises is okay, but not a patch on Kill the Music and other singles from the last album. I have to confess that my fave TCTC tracks are The Devil Walks In The Sands and Way Out West, both from the bonus CD with the first album. Like I say it’s an okay album, and I don’t regret buying it, it’s just not as fresh as the first album was, and I think some of the new Viva Stereo stuff that I’ve had the honour of listening to early cuts of sounds better.
