Cafe Mao
Neil and I went for dinner last week, and the evil fiend that he is denied me the chance to go to Ichiban, to which I’ve not been for an absolute age. But, whilst looking for a place to eat we stumbled upon Cafe Mao in the Merchant City. This, as you may guess from the name, is a oriental restaurant/bar. The decor is nice and airy, the service was good, and the food was also good. I had a nice chicken noodle soup to start, followed by Malaysian Chicken with rice. Both were nice and tasty, though I stuffed myself of rice a bit much I fear, but that’s my fault rather than theirs ;) I also had a lassi (the one thing I’ve realised since I moved back to my folks’ and started driving into Glasgow is that my liver is probably a lot better off) to drink, which was nice if a little on the sweet side for me.
Anyway, recommended if you’re in the mood for Asian food.
