Darwin ports is to Mac OS X what the ports system is to other BSD unixes. Although fink is a popular unix package system, I’ve been playing with DP as I’m more familiar with the BSD ports system. Anyway, it’s neat, and I now have essentials like Ethereal and Gimp installed on my mac. Ta to the peeps on #opendarwin too, who helped me get set up.
