Yesterday Laura’s Roadster was in for its service, and today it’s my Uly’s turn – 5K service time. As ever, BlackBear have given me a random Harley as a courtesy bike – today it’s a Sportster, which will no doubt make my Dad slightly jealous :)

What will make him less so is that I had to ride it in sub zero temperatures this morning (the computer lab weather station reported around -2°C at the time). At least the Uly has hand guards to keep the wind off my hands, but on the Sportster I got a might chilled in the finger department, which I don’t recommend. Definitely not a winter bike :)

Update 22nd Sept 2022: Almost 15 years later, and still when I looked at the image of that bike all I remember of it was just how cold my hands were that morning, it really was not a pleasant ride.
