Lost in EA

6 May 2007

Today I took the bike out for its last outing before it hit the magic one thousand miles – it’s now all grown up, and goes in for its first service on Tuesday.

I have to say that nothing has me made me regret opting for the Uly. It handles wonderfully, both when I’m out on my own the bike stripped down, like I was today, and with a passanger and a full set of loaded luggage. It has enough grunt to make life easy without feeling the bike wants to run away, and it’s so well balanced that cornering is a breeze. I’m looking forward to putting many more miles on the bike over the summer. The next test is to see if Laura and I can make it camping on the bike with tent, sleeping bags, etc :)

I stopped to mark the occasion where I was, which was lost. I was outside the village of Barton Mills, which I now know where it is, but at the time I had no clue, having taken several wrong turns to get there – but that’s the fun of it all! Recorded for posterity thanks to my phone’s camera having a built in timer thing:
