Letting talent flow
The great thing about things like iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand is that when you have access to a Mac, you can start taking advantage of these tools to do things at home that a few years ago just weren’t possible. I saw this yesterday when I introduced my brother to GarageBand:
Unlike my attempts to play with GarageBand, Tristan’s actually got talent :) He was immediately doing multitrack guitar pieces (on his new Epiphone Les Paul he got for christmas). Now we just need to find him a good digital drum solution, as he’s a drummer by training, and he can get on with being the next Dave Grohl :)
Yes, Macs are more expensive typically, but it’s the ability to do things like that out of the box that to me totally justifies the cost. You get what you pay for in that respect.
