Fun at Sawston Hall
Last night was the AlertMe summer party, held out at Sawston Hall. I think the AlertMe crowd needed a party after a hectic few weeks, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Laura and I were very pleased to find there were two bouncy castles, one for children and one for adults:
But boy are these things a lot more tiring now! I imagine the beer beforehand didn’t help, but all the adults attempting it were shocked to discover it was now very hard work, much to the amusement of the children.
I was also delighted to finally get a go on a segway – I had great fun charging around the grounds of the Hall on one – many thanks to Laura who pestered Adrian to let me have a go. Unfortunately there’s not much photographic evidance of this due to the poor light by that time, but you can just make me out grinning on the segway here:
As you can see, it was quite dark by then, but I was pleased to discover that the segway copes well if you hit an unnoticed speed bump in the driveway at full pelt :)
