Courtesy Harley
My Buell (still enjoying the Uly, a fantastic bike) is in being tweaked at the garage, so today I’m on a courtesy bike – the first time I’ve ever ridden a Harley Davidson.
It’s not a classic HD – it’s their street fighter style Street Rod bike, but it makes that classic Harley sound, which if it doesn’t cause you to grin even slightly when riding one you probably should check your pulse. Not something I’d want for long distances perhaps, but for some gentle cruising it’s quite a nice bike, although I’m reminded of a quote from Ford Prefect in The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe:
“Looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow”
