Camping 07, take one

23 Apr 2007

The weather has got sufficiently good for a first camping trip of the year. We headed over to Clippersby Hall over in the Norfolk Broads. It’s a nice campsite, more spread out than typical, and rather than one large tent area it’s a series of small areas surrounded by woods. It looked a little something like this:

A small Smart Roaster car next to a similarly sized tent dwarfed by some very tall fir trees.

At this time of year is was very quiet, at least in terms of people. The peacocks on the other hand were qutie noisy, as were the leages of wood pigeons, but still we had a great time. Top class facilities, but more costly than your typical camp site.

Whilst out there we went out on the water twice – first time on a motorboat (albeit a slow one :) and a canoe – the driving of both being a first for me :)

Update: Laura’s put up some pictures.
