Art as fun
At the weekend I saw the latest installation in Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall. I’m not quite sure where you cross the line between modern art and a theme park, but when it looks this fun, who cares?
Not many people, judging by the queues :) Even on early Sunday morning the queues were extending outside the door for tickets (which are free, and allocate you a time on a particular slide), and three hours before the slides closed the ticket supply was exhausted. I definitely want a go, but I think I’m happy to wait until the queue time:slide time ratio is somewhat more sane. It’s open until April next year, so plenty of time to get along and have a go.
