Apple and EMI remove DRM and increase quality
We’re excitied here at the shed to note that Apple and EMI are, for an increased price per track, offering DRM free and higher bit rate tracks. The Apple press release is here. The cost in the US will be an extra 30 cents, and the beeb article implies an extra 20p for UK customers. The small price increase is probably worth it for the doubing in file bit rate from 128 Kbps to 256 Kbps alone.
