Another place
At the weekend we went to see Another Place – a collection of 100 iron cast figures standing facing into the Irish sea at Crosby in Merseyside. Here’s an example of one of the figures:
The installation is meant to be moved perioidcally around the world, but it’s been at Crosby longer than intended, which was good from our point of view, as otherwise we’d have missed it. Worth a look if you’re in the area, though Laura and I felt that it needed to be more grouped somehow – it’s currently very spread out, and after a while you feel that it’s just dragging on with no density. Still, it’s very nice to see a good public art display.
