People in the mist of the surf
On our first US road trip we’d planned on going as far south as Morro Bay, but we caught a flat on the way down, so had to head to SLO to exchange our car for another one, and thus we decided to hed over to Pismo Beach, mostly to see the butterflies, but also to see the eponymous beach.
Here for once I’m shooting with the aperture shut tight, and it’s so much nicer than the other landscapes I’ve been taking where I had my usual street aperture. I was chatting to a friend who does landscapes and he said the general rule is ISO 100/200, F11, and whatever timer you need then. A nice rule of thumb for getting started on landscapes more.
