The sun starting to set on Margate, obscured by cloud.

There’s a lot going on in this photo, arguably too much: there’s at least three different photos here: the sun breaking through the clouds, Margate’s bay, and then the sands in the foreground. My favourite thing is the detail in the sands, how sharp they are in showing the way the water has etched the beach as the tide departs - I could look at that for a long time. The rest is there to justify that :)
