There was a small family gathering at the weekend, I I borrowed my brother’s 50mm f/1.8 lens, which is the runt of the Sony lens line-up, but was such fun to use, getting family member portraits like this one despite the low light. And being small it was a little less intimidating than my usual zoom.

It was the first time I’ve used the built in colour profiles in my Sony and published anything literally straight from camera without even going near Lightroom. It changed my whole attitude to what is normally a slow and deliberate camera for me.
