A picture taken of Laura whilst we had our early morning coffee at Scandimania on our weekend trip up Stamford-wards.
Despite not getting along with it, I took the X100F again, as I’d still like to find a happy place with that as a more discreet camera than my Sony, and to try find a way where I can publish straight from camera, as I did here.
I really like this portrait, which is in part where I feel the X100F should win over my Sony, as it’s a less intimidating camera. The classic chrome colour is a bit drab, and I’m a bit annoyed that the camera preset had artificial grain added, which I didn’t realise until I looked at the photo on a bigger screen - something to fix before I next take it out.
I think I’d also normally be snooty about the blown out sky, but I’m trying to be less distracted about that, as sky does blow out in normal vision anyway, yet for some reason I feel compelled to try avoid it with photography.
