I stayed at a hotel on the motorway on my way up to Scotland as, having stayed there before, I trusted it’d be okay with its pandemic prep. What I didn’t know was that you can also exit onto the public backroads from the hotel, so I got to explore the area a bit. It’s in a section where the motorway splits into two parts, a road for either direction, and so I got to explore this little island of land mostly inhibited by sheep and heather.

I liked the purple of the heather, which here I caught just as the sun was peaking over the horizon.
