A close up of some Barley taken on my Yashica FX-3 using Fujifilm Industrial 100, at the same time I took the same picture on my X100F.
The main thing to note is that last time I didn’t stop to think what kind of crop it was and called it wheat, when it is in fact barley. Not sure why I didn’t think to check back then, but presumably I’d got all excited about the alliterative title and didn’t look back :)
The digital version is a lot more clear in detail (it was taken at a narrower aperture), but this shot captures the sunrise glow better.
Whilst it’s tempting to say that this reinforces the film vs digital stereotypes, you could get a more detailed film shot and a more glowy digital shot - but it’s nice to be able to compare and contrast a little.
