My first few rolls of film have been a mixed bag in terms of what’s worked and what hasn’t. I took this because the Fuji Industrial film I was using is meant to love red. I’m not sure the red here is particularly exceptional, but I do love how it’s captured the late day light in this scene, and the texture of the grime on the sign. Overall I’m a big fan of the tone this film gives, and will definitely get it again.
There’s also a feel about this picture that I like in terms of depth of field and sharpness that I was hoping for with moving to a slightly larger frame. Mostly that hasn’t been the case with these first few rolls, but this picture nails that straight out of camera.
