my name is mwd: photos

This photo was a bit of an experiment, but I like the result aesthetically, with the contrast of the railings. It’s close to SooC other than straightening.

The experiment is that this was shot using the 50mm F/2 lens from my vintage Yashica film camera, but mounted on my Sony body. I really would like to get a 50mm prime for my Sony, but full frame lens prices being what they are, I though this would be a fun thing to try whilst I saved my pennies.

I have to say, other than my not quite nailing focus in some of the shots, I am quite pleased with the results from this combo. Where I have nailed focus there is lots of detail, and it has a nice strong contrast in shots like this one.
