Unknown flock
Spotted this mystery flock flying over whilst we went a walk at Ouse Washes RSPB. They look somewhere between Arctic Skuas (which shouldn’t be here) and a kind of turn - if you happen to know do let me know! I was pleased with the framing here of them against the perfectly blue sky above us.
This is the first time I’ve shot with my 55-200 zoom in over a year. I traded in my old X-E2s when I got the X100F, but I kept the glass. We were meant to be going to see the seals at the coast today, and so for an event like that I’d borrowed a friend’s X-T2, but in the end events conspired to keep us closer to home unfortunately. Still, a good excuse to go for a walk in the sun in the fens.
Update: Apparently they’re lapwings!
