Three sailing boats on a relatively calm West Kirby Marine Lake. I think this was part of a competition, and this was one team, with other coloured triplets elsewhere in the lake.
I’ve been going back and looking slightly more technically at the gear I used for some of my photos, to see if I can understand why I liked or disliked certain things about them. Once again this was on a borrowed lens, but one which Q let me have for quite a while as he’d switched from Canon to his first mirrorless camera at the time and in the end never went back. I certainly put the Canon 50mm 1.4 to good use in that time according to my Lightroom stats. Once again though the noise in this image (since removed in Lightroom) at ISO 100 was quite disappointing for the 7D, a camera I otherwise loved other than its bulk.
