my name is mwd: photos

A picture of the night sky from my garden. I’ve spent the last few clear nights trying to work out how to set up my camera for astrophotography; whilst the conditions for it here are not great, I want to get the settings dialled in for when I can travel again to a location better suited for it.

That said, I’m quite pleased with how many stars (and one planet) I got here: in the middle is Mars, to the lower left Orion, and to the lower right The Pleiades. But more than that, I’m amazed that this close to a population centre I got so many stars shining through.
