Or in my case, the slightly later photographer gets a shot of the early photographer.

This was the sun rising over the mountains onto the dunes of Great Sand Dunes National Park, and like other photographers I was up to try and catch the light as it hit the dunes. But as up early I thought I was, someone beat me to it by quite a way.

I’d be tempting to just remove the photographer and have an unblemished shot, but I like the reminder that a lot of photography is about preparation, and it gives a nice sense of scale of the dunes, that otherwise you’d miss.
