I was asked to take a team shot for some colleages here, and was most unhappy with the results. I took 18 pics in total, but this was the most useable.
I suspect the biggest mistake was not setting the aperture to the max value, and letting the 7D’s awesome ISO capabilities carry the weight wrt to ensuring the picture came out okay. Instead I let it tweak aperture, so most of them ended up slightly out of focus, which wasted a lot of otherwise awesome shots.
I’m used to having time to go back over photos, but when you have busy people you don’t have that luxury, and when I came to review the output I felt like a complete newbie again.
