When back up in Scotland to visit my family I’m always reminded how different the look and feel of the place is: what once felt normal or usual is now different and interesting. The way the roads are made and patched, the kind of stone used in the walls, and the fact that unlike my new homeland the ground goes up and down.

I like the swoop of the road in this one, as it climbs up to the church.
