Not as classical a view as the sunrise you’ll find elsewhere in my stream (posted quite a couple of months ago), I like the added context here showing that Monument Valley isn’t as isolated as is often presented.

Which reminds me of the shot that got away. There’s a Safeway at Goulding’s Appartments. Inside it’s increadably mundane and drab like every supermarket anywhere. But then as you go to pay for your goods, behind the checkout is this large window with Monument Valley behind. I wish I could have got that shot - it was one of most surreal images having the everyday and the extra-ordinary so vividly juxtaposed. I guess that just means you’ll need to go there yourself to see it :)
