Sundog at sunset
A sundog spotted as we cooked our dinner at the camp site on our recent trip to Norfolk. Norfolk is flat as a pancake, so you get wide open skies that I guess make spotting things like this easier, but I do have to confess that it was Laura who saw this first, not me.
One thing I find fascinating is how much more open the US flatlands feel than the UK ones, and I think it’s to do with the trees and hedges that line the roads - you never get the horizon to horizon view in the Fens that I’ve seen in places like Colorado and Texas. The density of the UK just makes that kind of view unlikely I guess.
