my name is mwd: photos

the sails on a water pump up at Wicken Fen. A somewhat questionably jaunty framing, but I kinda like it. Wicken Fen is big sky territory and this is probably as good as you get with a 50mm lens for that.

This was taken with my Yashica FX-3, about which I was complaining in the last post about its softness. I note here that at f/11 and with nice straight reference lines for focussing it seems sharp enough. I think stopped down though (which is something of an inevitability in the UK, particularly during winter) it really starts to suffer from being softer.

The other thing I’m happy to note, given this was a brighter day, is no light leaks! I replaced the light seals on this one after I’d spotted leaks on the last set of photos, and this roll is leak free, so success!
